Every Sunday of the week, the house fans from Bulgaria know there is something going on, something amazing and impressive, worthy of being awarded the best house show in Bulgaria in one of the greatest house clubs on the Balkans. It is called Yalta and it has been rated among the top house and trance clubs in the Eastern Europe, among the first three on the Balkan Peninsula.

The place lacks the impressiveness of many other clubs -only couple of hundred people and it looks like the busy Wall Street Stock Market without the roller banners - feels too crowded to even imagine more people coming in. On the other hand, the less the space, the more attractive the design. It is so lightly decorated that the first sight would give you the impression that there is nothing so special about the place. But a few moments later you see that the little details, the composition of the seats, the small stairs and the VIP area are actually unique, separated strangely zone by zone. And when the lights are on, it looks like it really has nothing to do with any other club -it is just Yalta and it is just better than anything else.

The design is, no matter how impressive, just a contribution for the club. The reality is in the sound. Go there during the week and you will enjoy the best most played tracks in the genre. Go there on Sunday and enjoy the performance of a single house or trance DJ with his unique tracks on. Fans are not only getting crazy but they get quite addicted too -you might happen to see one and the same faces a couple of weeks in a row. The reason is simple -in the capital city of Sofia there is nothing better than that, nothing more fascinating and exciting as the Blame parties by Yalta.

Pure Reason Revolution recently began a gruelling tour to promote their forthcoming album – details of which have not yet been disclosed – though if the sample tracks are anything to go by promises to be as mind-blowing as their two previous albums, The Dark Third and Amor Vincit Omnia.

For those unfamiliar with Pure Reason Revolution, they are a progressive rock band blending driving guitar riffs with mesmerising electro overtones with a vein of saccharine vocals running through it. If you take tunes from Pink Floyd, Nirvana and Kraftwerk strip them down and rework them through a computer simulator, the end result will be Pure Reason Revolution. To sum them up in one word: amazing.

The PRR tour paid a visit to London and the four-piece graced us with their presence in the cool Hoxton Bar & Grill, promptly treating the packed hall with a set that had us hungry for more. Opening with the weighty Les Malheurs, PRR went on to showcase three new tracks, skilfully sandwiching them between crowd favourites ‘Deus Ex Machina’ and the captivating epic, ‘The Ambassadors of Mourning.’

There is a significant intelligence in the way PRR compile their songs that is sadly lacking from most bands of the modern age – in particularly the monotonous mainstream trash we are subjected to. Profound lyrics delivered with the honey-dripped vocals of Chloe Alper perfectly suit the contrasting voice of Jon Courtney and with driving riffs that make the walls shake, precision drumming and scuzzy synth the cocktail of melodic harmony and throbbing rhythm leave you punch-drunk.

If Pure Reason Revolution is not a band you are familiar with, but like grinding guitars, layered with soaring melodies and sweeping electro overtones, they are definitely a band worth checking out. The first two albums are pure class, the sample tracks from the third album is reason to sit up and sooner rather than later they will kick off a revolution to rid the world of the time wasting three-chord trash music labels insist on churning out. This drivel has already ruined club nights and festivals, don’t let it ruin the future. Pure Reason Revolution will lead the way, all you need to do is follow–
